I'm crossing over from Mastercam 8,9 to Surfcam for works requirements, I have to re-learn it since I've not used it for a decade.
That kinda made it leak outta my ears!!
I used to know Hypermill and that blew my socks of, but it's rare, expensive and takes a while to get good at.
I heard Surfcam is very good for machining but a bit limited in terms of cad drafing.
Ideally, you want both in equal capability.

I got a chance to remember it today, and it's GOOD!
It has all of the capabilities of Mastercam and more.
I still wish i had a handle on Hyperform still, but so few places use it.

    Bottom line, Surfcam's good!

I have only used Surfcam since it's early days in DOS so I have nothing to compare to. Also, I have never had a limitation with getting Surfcam to do whatever it is I want but there are some things I wish the did differently. But the 3D stuff is fast and predictable.
