    Software for an older machine?

I work for a company that recently puchased an older Camtech. I believe the model number is 5/52. The software that is used to run the machine is called pcu, it is older dos software and is a little unfriendly to use. Is there any options to upgrading to newer software to run this machine. The computer(s) I can run this from are Windows2000 or WindowwsXP.

You would probabally need hardware changes as well as software.
If it has one of the well known motion control cards in a PC slot, then you may be ahead in not having to purchase another. Otherwise there are a few PC based systems outhere to consider. Otherwise unless the company is still around with an upgrade then it will require a bit more than just a simple software installation.
I just googled them and I see they still operate out of Calgary, so not far from you.
