Looking for suggestions for feeds and speeds on a 3/8, 2 flute HSS ball mill. I am going to be doing some 3D work in pine.

    thanks.

Where are you getting those #?

I know my wood router will only go 10000rpm min. and 10IPM is awfully slow, especially for 3d work. Ive had jobs take 6-7H at 100IPM

Feeds and speeds vary greatly, depending on how rigid your machine is and how fast it can move will make a huge difference.. You will have to learn what works best on your machine.

If it was me and on my machine, I would run the 3/8" BN at 100-120IPM and keep my router at 10,000rpm. For 3d work I like to keep my porter cable router on the lowest speed to keep it cool and prolong its life.

I would go for a 1/4"-3/8" DOC, and a 6-8% stepover. Use an endmill to hog out the majority of wood, on deep reliefs, or in flat areas. Ballnose dont leave nice flat bottoms.

G-Wizard would have you run 10000 rpm and a 0.013 chipload for 228 IPM in softwood like pine.

Be wary of too much depth of cut. You're going to start to see significant cutter deflection if you go more than a diameter deep on a pass.
