    Help! - No Movement

I imported a machine from china about 6 months ago from China Nice Cut. BTW, don't deal with these guys, I speak from experience. The controls never worked correctly so out of frustration, I pulled all of the them out and am trying to get sorted with Mach 3.

Right now I have Mach 3 installed and all of the motors are hooked up. The motor drivers are Leadshine M860's, two of which I am using. The third axis is an analog ATHC to control the Z axis (plasma cutter).

I have installed Mach 3 along with a UBOB builders kit I found on the internet. When I check the installation with the Driver Test application that comes with Mach 3 it says everything is ok but I have no stepper movement.

Anything anyone can provide will be most appreciated!

    Please Help!

Are the DRO's changing when you jog? If so, you need to measure the voltage on the direction pin at the drive. You should have 5V when moving in one direction, and 0V when moving in the other direction. If not, you need to find out why.

Make sure the port address is correct, and ports and pin # correct. Also, make sure the parallel cable has all wires straight through.

Do the motors lock up when power is applied? I'm assuming they do? If not, the problem is in your drives.

    Thanks!

The motors do lockup upon the application of power. I can not detect 5V when jogging in Mach 3. As I said before I am using the UBOB II breakout kit and have followed the intructions to a tee with no results. Any more information you can provide will be most appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Jeremy
