    You have to use PD001=0 for the Buttons to work

    Your Pot wiring where are you getting the 10v from

    You will damage the VFD if you continue to turn it off from the Circuit Breaker
    What type of switches should I use?
    I know the panel buttons won't work in 3 wire mode, but I couldn't make it stop before I tried the toggle switches.
    It's the same way either way I try it.
    for some reason it just won't stop by command.
    I don't have it connected to a computer.
    it's either a setting issue or a faulty VFD. I have tried various settings and it still won't stop.
    I would be perfectly content with it running 1 speed, I just need a way to make it stop without damaging the VFD.
    thanks for the quick response.

    With or without external controls, and trying everything I can think of, it will turn on just fine and run great, but I can't make it stop. I have tried various settings and still nothing. The only reason I used toggle switches is because the on board stop button would never work. I figured it may be just a bad button.

    You may have a Drive problem, but still could be some Parameters set incorrect also

    Change these 3 Parameters & see if you can get control then from the KeyPad

    Disconnect all the switches Etc that you have attached to the VFD

    PD000=0
    PD001=0
    PD002=0

    If this does not work then with the KeyPad Buttons, do a Drive Reset, & only put the Parameters in that I have posted

    This will depend on what Parameters have been set

    I should've posted that you can use a Toggle Switch, but not 3 of them,unless you are really good at wiring, most that do this use a 3 Pole Switch which has a on off on, but this too could cause a problem, if you hit the Reverse when stopping,

    So if you are still having problems, you can just use ( 1 ) of the Switches you have wiring would be just DCM & Forward connection, If you wanted a Estop it could be put between the DCM & the Switch connection
    Parameters
    PD001=1

    PD002=1

    PD044=01

    This should turn it on/off with the ( 1 ) Switch

    I did what you said and unhooked everything then did reset and set it again. It finally worked. So now I can switch it off with the panel buttons. But I still cannot control the speed.

    Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

    I will try the external switches again when I get caught up.

    To get the remote Pot working most likely is just a Parameter to set, these should make it work, does your VFD have this J1 jumper, ( Photo ) this has to be set also if you have it on your Drive

    PD002=1
    PD70=0
    PD72=400
    PD73=120

    Hey everyone, sorry this has to be my first post but I'm having trouble setting up my Chinese VFD. I've entered in all of the parameters according to everything I've read and the unit powers but I cannot get the frequency to ramp up. It just flashes 000. It's the Huanyang HY02D223B 2.2Kw VFD. I know these questions are all over the place on these forums and I hate to beat a dead horse but I'm at my wits end here. Any help would be appreciated thank you

    (I dont own the product, just figured this would help EVERYone else out that does!!)

    PDF file is 15.8MB (large). It actually is very easy to read and navigate, i was impressed on how informational it is. Hope this helps someone!

    1. I drafed the wire picture. Please see from the link: http://www.jinlantrade.com/Stock%20files/0008.jpg
    2. You can see download the inverter manual from web link:
    http://www.jinlantrade.com/ebay/invertermanual.pdf
    3. I just tell you how to set up VFD as following
    Firstly, adjust the PD013 to 8 (set the setting to factory setting)
    Secondly, adjust the PD005 to 400
    Thirdly, adjust the PD004 to 400
    Finally, adjust the PD003 to 400
    Finally, adjust the PD144 to 3000
    Note: you should set PD013, PD005, PD004,PD003, PD144 in order. It mean you should firstly set PD013, then PD005, then PD004, then set PD003, finally set PD144.
    Note: after you set the all above parameter, then please recheck the PD005, PD004, PD003 value is 400 or not to confirmed that you already set it. (note: please do not check the PD013, or all the setting will go to factory setting)
    The reason we let you recheck is that if you do not set it at 400, then when you run the spindle motor, the spindle motor will be over-current, then the spindle will very hot and then within 5 minutes, it will broken.

    Do a Factory reset, & set what I have in post 32, before you do the reset make sure you have PD000=0 for Parameter unlock set to ( 0 )

    Have you set PD 11 to 120 & PD144 to 3000, is your spindle 300Hz or 400 hz, if 300Hz you will have to use 300Hz were all the 400 Hz Parameters are set

    You could try a Factory ReSet, then redo the Parameters, make sure PD000=0 before you do a Factory ReSet

    If this does not work you may have a faulty Drive, the Parameters below should have you running

    Huanyang Mactec54
    PD000=0 for Parameter unlock ( 1 ) for Parameter Lock

    PD001=0 (1 For Remote Control)

    PD002=0

    PD003=400

    PD004=400

    PD005=400

    PD007=20

    PD008=220

    PD009=15

    PD010=8

    PD011=120 (Minimum Setting 120)

    PD13= 08 is for Factory reset, Only use this to set VFD to Factory Default Settings

    PD014 Accel=12 ( Adjust to suit)

    PD015 Deccl=12 (Adjust to suit) ( PD15 is ignored IF PD26=1 Then the Spindle will Coast to a Stop)

    PD141=220 ( Motor Rated Voltage )

    PD142=9 ( Motor Max Amps) (Set for your motor Amp Rating 2.2Kw Spindle 9 amp Max)
    (Set for your motor Amp Rating 1.5Kw Spindle 7 amp Max)

    PD143=2 ( Motor Number of Poles)

    PD144=3000 (Max Motor RPM) =3,000= (24,000)

    For Remote Pot use

    PD002=1

    PD70=0

    PD72=400

    PD73=120

    Thanks for the quick reply. I'll try a reset tomorrow and reset it. With out the pot it does 24000 rpm so I think everything is ok but must be a setting I've Missed.
    Thanks Tony

    Hello everybody. Great stuff here. My spindle now rotates at 24000rpm with these settings. But it does it only with the onboard keys controls. My inverter has an onboard pot which if i set PD002 to 1 and try to use it, will only go to 15600 RPM max.
    Any suggestions on how to fix this? It would be awesome to use the pot instead of the keys.

    Re: Huanyang Chinese VFD settings and manual here!

    Hello,

    I was hoping to get some help with my Huanyang. The spindle is supposed to be 18000rpm 3kw and matched vfd. See attached pictures for info on the plates. I followed the info in this thread, attempting to figure out the differences between 24000rpm and 18000rpm settings. The spindle seems to get up to the proper RPM, however I can't get ROTT to display 18000. The hz display will show 300hz, so I assume it's getting up to speed. I'm in the US, input to the VFD is via a 20 amp 240v breaker directly from my sub panel. Spindle is connected with pin 1 = V, 2 = U, W = 3, and ground to vfd ground. Rotation is going the right way.

    Here is exactly what I did. First I reset to factory defaults, then:

    PD001 = 0
    PD005 = 300
    PD004 = 300
    PD003 = 300
    PD072 = 300
    PD006 = 2.5
    PD008 = 220
    PD009 = 15
    PD010 = 8
    PD011 = 120
    PD142 = 8.6 (Amps listed on motor plate. I thought it was 3kw spindle, shouldn't it be more?)
    PD143 = 2
    PD144 = I tried many values here, from default, to 3000, 2250, 2093 (obviously I have no idea what I'm doing). At 2250, rott reads 10800. At default, it reads 8640.

    I've been in contact with the seller, Jean, and he suggested only setting:
    Step 1: Set PD005 =300
    Step 2: Set PD004 =300
    Step 3: Set PD003 =300
    Step 4: Set PD072 =300

    I reset to factory default again, and made those settings. That is when rott read 8640. The spindle seems to speed up to the same speed as when I had originally configured. Of course, I'm concerned about pd011 not being set to 120 by default, so I won't run the spindle for more than a few seconds with only his suggested settings. Video of what that looks like:

    https://youtu.be/VM3xmKMGF9Y

    I assume I should put my previous settings back and will have to tweak something (pd010 and pd144) to get the right RPM via rott?

    I appreciate the help.

    Thanks,
    Bobby

    Re: Huanyang Chinese VFD settings and manual here!

    btsioles

    Have not done an 18,000RPM spindle with this drive, so if you were getting to 300 Hz then you were at max speed, It would be wise to use the settings you had put in, obvious the seller is just that & does not know how to set the drive up

    You have an air cooled spindle so it is very important, that you have the minimum speed set correct, 120 Hz will be to low, looking at the photos, they are saying that your spindle is 400 Hz max with a minimum of 300 Hz

    So is this spindle realy a 24,000 RPM or Just a 18,000 RPM spindle, very confusing motor plate information, if it is only a 18,000 RPM then you most likey need to set the Minimum Hz setting to something like 200 Hz not the 120 Hz, this setting is for the water cooled spindle

    PD011 is a parameter that is set to suit each type of motor/spindle the drive is being used for, this is the minimum speed the motor/spindle can be safely run
