    need help with autocad text

    can someone tell me why or what I'm doing wrong when I use AutoCAD 2000 write text with it and when I go to kcam 4 it don't plot it or give gcode only on text everything else works fine if I put a box around the text the box well plot and have gcode but no text

    AutoCAD text is not vector, so KCAM can't do anything with it. The only way to use Text in autoCAD is to explode it with Express tools, which were an extra cost option back in 2000.

    An alternative is to use a program called Outline Art that creates vector text in autoCad.
