    Talking L297 Chopped Uniploar Board

I've added an new compatable 1 axis design to the website. It's based on the ST L297 and Discrete MOSFET drivers. It adds a chopped high current/voltage design to the Open Source board list. Its pretty much a combination of the ST application note and the 10pin IDC filtered front end of the other open source boards. Has an onboard logic probe to aid in troubleshooting initial build problems.

As always if you see any problems with the design or have suggested improvements, I'm all ears.
If somebody would like to build one, but are afraid to commit till somebody else has, contact me and maybe we can work out some arrangement. I consider this a pretty low risk design. But there is always the opportunity for a goof up, wouldn't be my first or last.
And as always if somebody would like to help create a support document, parts list, etc contact me.
    Thanks,
    Phil

Built and initial test done. Will do some layout tweeks in the next couple of days as the prototype had some solder shorts where I just had a few lands just to tight. The circuit as posted on my website is good to go.

    Hello Phil,
Was this design done in the free version of eagle? If so, would it be possible for you to post the file, I would like to try to mechanically etch a board using my JGRO machine for a JCKleinbauer Hawk machine.
    Thanks

    Jason

My antivirus program stopped your webpage because it realtime detected a trojan virus somewhere on the page. Please check it out.

    rippersoft,
The problem is with Internet Explorer. The website DOESN'T have a virus. Download the latest patch's from Microsoft. This has been driving me nuts.
