Hi -
I have owned VCarve for a while but not always used as much until recently. I moved a few times and just built a new machine. I am making my own custom Telecaster. Plans PDF & DXF can be downloaded from:

I have the layers gluing and when done I will figure out how I will finish this thing. Most likely mount the hardware and test it before doing a real finish...

That's an interesting, um, grain structure. Does it grow that way naturally? I haven't seen one made this way, but it has a certain irreverent charm to it.

I would think that OSB would be kinda heavy for a guitar body. Apply some Early American stain, clear coat and wet sand it until slick, then wax it.

I've never seen a musical instrument made with OSB, even if it was just a trial cut. Me, I would have left some of the text markings showing just for effect and do no staining that would hide it. I stained and polyurethaned the OSB that I used on my home built surface sander over in the Woodworking forum. It actually doesn't look all that bad. Since you can play the guitar, you are way ahead of me.
