The traditional CNC milling machine may only be limited to 3 axis turning at the same time. Along with raising the level of industrial technology, people increase the request of usage of CNC machines. The development of CNC machine tools is through a long process, a previous 3-axis moving at the same time, 4-axis, 5-axis and even 6-axis.Multi-axis machine has played a pivotal role not only in improving the efficiency of industrial production , but also is widely used in defense machinery, ship propellers and other special processing.In the following text, I do some objective evaluationam on the 5-axis machine.5-axis machine is widely used in mold processing. We usually use ball mill in mold process and its benefit is very obvious. The bottom of the line speed of vertical machining center is zero so the polish on the underside is very poor. Four, five-axis machining technology to process the mold can overcome these shortcomings.Workpiece is clamped easier in five-axis machine. Processing without special fixtures reduce the cost of fixtures, avoid a number of clamping and improve the precision mold processing. Using five-axis machining technology could reduce the using number of fixtures.In addition, because five-axis processing machine can save a lot of special tools, the cost of the tool is reduced. Five-axis machine tool in machining can increase the effective cutting length, reduce cutting forces, improve tool using period and reduce costs. Using five-axis machining mold can quickly complete the mold processing, fast delivery, and better processing quality, make it easier to mold process and also easier to mold modification.
