    Petrobond in canada?

Anyone know of a petrobond supplier in Canada? Preferably around Montreal?

You may have to make it yourself, but this will give you the method and materials that are required.

    More info?

Not sure how you found him.

Do they sell in 50 pound quantities?

How about shipping? Or is it pick up only.

Any more information would be nice to have.

    More info

I picked up 3 bags of oil bond sand and clay graphite crucible from them and you can walk in or they deliver through UPS or Dicom. Here's some contact info.

    To rich for me.

I purchase it from the USA 50 pounds for $100. But they ship UPS and that cost another $100 and I felt totally ripped off. Athough the sand does a great job for my casting projects, UPS took any real profit margin out of the whole casting project. The issue with UPS is brokerage to clear an item across the Canadian boarder. USPS charges $8 but some USA vendors will not ship USPS. They state this is not their problem, well yes and no. If I can't break even doing a casting on small scale for someone then I have no demand and in turn I will not purchase sand and other materials. Others face the same issue here as well.

Mifco is Danville Illinois sells 40lbs buckets of petrobond for $47 plus shipping, I know a guy in Ireland that gets his petrobond for 11 euros for 25 kgs. There's got to be somewhere we can get it for a reasonable prices too

Sorry for the necropost but in case you're interested, you can get this sort of thing sent to US Addresses in Niagara Falls NY.
They charge $5 for pickup of packages less than 50ibs (if I recall correctly) and $10 for overweight packages.
I use them all the time. For purchases less than $100, the Canadian Border Crossing folks generally don't even collect GST. They just way you though.

UPS is, without question the worst way to ship ANYTHING into Canada.
