    Connecting steppers to drivers

Im just about to connect my stppers to my drivers, but am not sure what is what as the connections are labled 1a 1b 2a 2b, how does this relate to a+ a- b+ b-. the instructions say "First phase connected between 1A and 1B
and the second phase connected between 2A and 2B".

    Thanks

Do your stepper motors just have 4 wires each?

Do you have a multimeter that you could use to make resistance measurements of your stepper motor wires (in order to verify which pair of wires represents a single winding)?

My inclination would be to treat 1a as a+ and 1b as a- (and similar for 2a as b+ and 2b as b-), but that's just a guess.
