    Sieg X3/SX3 Linear rail conversion

Anyone here do a conversion on their X3 to linear rails? Round or square? Sizing? Is it rigid? Anything you would do differently?
I'm hoping to get some more travel on my Y axis, perhaps converting at the same time would give me the best of both worlds. This build will do precision work in steel and aluminum.

I don't really see the point. If your going to do an X3 with linear rails, then why not just build a whole new machine? You could probably use an X3 to do that.
