Recently BBC v23 will not start on my HP laptop. Its running Vista so I had already switdhed to an earlier version, Its been running for over a year but suddenly it stopped. I get a message that and error has for BBC to close, I've reloaded the program to no avail.

    compatibility

I was running it at windows 2000/me, but since it started I've tried all the other options. The program runs on my friends ibm with vista no problem. Have you tried windows 7?

Yes Ive got it on a xp and a windows 7, need to set it to run under the old 32 bit system though. (on win 7) I have a me machine also but have never put it on that one. I have the me machine hooked to a vinyl cutter and its buggy enough running that cutter software, (china made).

For me it seems the V23 is most stable on win 7 than on XP.

I see they quite supporting me a while back so if theres something new in BC that needs some modern eqlvc it might be a problem.

Runs fine on Win 7, you just need to set it as "Run as Administrator".

Or, if your not hooked up to the internet, just turn off UAC.
