Okuma green screen LS30 Alarm 107 EC breaker?

    Hi All,

Last few days been battling with my LS30-N Green screen OSP5000 lathe. Keeps bringing up 107-A EC circuit breaker alarm, its tripping breaker #5. Reset breaks again straight away. Give it 5mins reset then its ok hold for 2-3mins then it pops again! But when running in full Auto mode it never breaks and can go go all day. Only when in manual mode or idle it last about 3mins then pops ever time.
    Any ideas?

Need to look at your prints and see what the breaker controls. Can the machine just sit in auto mode without tripping? Is something plugged in to the 100 volt outlet on the control? Does it trip at the same position of the axis every time?

check circuit breaker itself first. Very difficult to figure out remotely, how it could be related to auto/ MDI/ manual mode

There have to be shortcut. Take a multimeter when breaker goes off, check all phases agains ground, some wire must be grounded.

Thanks guys, but it turned out to be a faulty coil winding in the chuck solenoid. New solenoid fitted all good now.

    Coild was partialy shorted internaly.
