    G83 Canned Cycle

On fanuc control cnc turning center for a g83 why isnt my drill stopping early before starting to feed to depth everytime it pecks ? Am I missing something? G83 Z-4.25 R.05 Q2500 F.009

What exactly do you mean? Do you mean that when it comes back to depth after the retract it comes to the exact position that retracted from?

If so there is a parameter setting for return distance in the peck drilling cycle. What model fanuc are you using? I don't have any manuals with me at the moment but I have some hard copies of various models here at home that I can check if I have them. If not I will have to look at work.

For late model Fanuc controls, this clearance is set in parameter 5114, either via MDI, or G10 - parameter change in program.
