    Cannot move any Axis

    Hello, everyone.
I had to build a new PC for my hobby CNC. I installed Mach 3 as I did before on a Win7 Pro. I'm using the same Gecko 540 for the controller. I thought my add-in LPT card was bad so I purchased another one. I still had a Red light on the Gecko. I know that some add-in cards don't provide the 5 volts needed for the Gecko so purchased a voltage buffer card, which is in between the PC and the 540. I now have a green light on the Gecko.

I had saved the profile I used to run the CNC, so I added that to Mach 3, thinking it would be/should be plug-and-play since nothing has changed on my CNC setup. Well, it didn't work. I did the Driver Test which worked as it should, but still no love. I then tried the G540 xml file that is provided by Gecko, which should allow me at least to get the CNC started, but no luck with that, either.

Any thoughts or ideas from this great community? In any case, thanks for your time in checking this out.

If your Windows 7 Pro is 64 bit, you can't use the parallel port.

I did check, and I'm using 32 bit.... the same as I used before.

You won't be able to use the parallel port if your version of Windows 7 Pro is 64 bit.
