    DPRNT help

I am trying to print values to a file on a pc. I have connection via RS-232 cables and IP address.

Here is basically what I wish to print out

    Cycle Start (timestamp)
    Tool Number (timestamp)
    Tool Number (timestamp)
    etc.....
    End of Cycle (timestamp)
    Idle time (timestamp)
    and repeat......

I have figured out how to get the lettering and tool number variable onto my computer. Now I am just having trouble timestamping each operation.

do I use #3011 and #3012 (date and time)?
or do I split these up into individual variables like #101= year, #102=month....etc.....

Also, how can I set the macro program to be called up by Mcode or Gcode....for example: every time G20 is read, the macro to DPRNT [cycle start] and timestamp it gets called up....or every time M30 is read, the macro for DPRNT [end of cycle] gets called up

    Thanks in advance!

You may want to search a bit on this site. We've discussed this a bunch...
