I'm just getting started with Bob, and have a couple of questions:
1. there are tic marks on the x y axes, but is there a way to have a grid, as there is in other drawing programs? I've looked, but haven't found any way. I have a .fxg drawing of a guitar that I wish I could open in Bob, but apparently it won't, so I'll have to draw/create everything in Bob, and a grid would make it easier: I could print the .fxg file out, then draw in Bob. Also, after creating a shape, an arc, let's say, is it possible to then drag that geometry into a new position? I've found how to deform it, but attempts to drag it result in creating new geometry, which I don't want.
2. I got Bob as a budget deal, and I guess you get what you pay for. It seems kind of clunky, and I read a lot of complaints about it. Also, since I bought it, I've found out about other software I might have given attention to, had I known about them, although admittedly they are more expensive. Anybody looking at Bob alternatives that don't cost $4k for the CAD side and $10k for the CAM side?
