Hi all
I have a johnford VMC 630 with fanuc 18m control.My problem is when the machine is in tool change or pallet change cycle and a fault occurs i can not reset this,the program wants to finish.
e.g.If in pallet change cycle and say a sensor is not made if i correct this fault the pallet change will automatically complete itself,powering down also does not help
Is there a parameter or procedure that can be used to reset and stop this happening.

There should be keep relays that track the progress of the the A.T.C. and A.P.C. From my experience when the tool change or pallety change has completed bit zero of the specified keep relay reverts to a one. Example tool change... Magazine ready Kxx = 00000001 Tool pot down Kxx = 00000010 Arm catch tool Kxx = 00000100 and so on unti it is finished and then it should return to Kxx = 00000001. If you notice that the keep relay is getting stuck on a certain bit Kxx = 00000010 and you have to reset it manually then your sensor or limit switch may not be picking up the signal for that motion.

I was looking for a simple reset signal which would allow the operator to reset and recover the problem themselves as it keeps wanting to finish its cycle.I know the keep signal is awating finish but i cant understand why after power done and back on it still awaiting this signal.Is it possible to change this.
