    upgrading MillPlus software

    Hi all:

    We have two DMU 50 eVo mills with millplus control, version V400. More and more we wish we had version V420, as we are starting to do a lot of 5 axis milling, and version V420 can figure out the rotation speed of the table by the kinematic model.

    So my question is, can the operating software be upgraded, and how is it done?

    When we bought the machine, it came with a stack of floppies with the operating system. I assume there is a way to install this software on the machine, but the machine has no floppy drive, so I'm scratching my head...

    Here is the real question: Now that you have learned how to do this Dan, would you be willing to answer your own question for others? I have some very specific questions about the v420 upgrade, and the RAM used.
