    alarm 500 overtravel

    machine ikegai tc 26
    fanuc series 18i-t

    problem is that i cant get to x zero return. it keep give me the alarm 500 overtravel +x. i try to do the P and CAN but my P is on the O key. do i have to hold the SHIFT key too? or the P key is thing else that i dont know of.thx

    Yep (shift)P and cancel all at the same time usually clears it. Usually. I have an x overtravel / emg that won't allow me to clear even when holding all 3 and powering up. There has to be an overtravel release other than that. I can't manually operate in handle mode until I get that alarm cleared. It's sunday so I should be good tomorrow when I get hold of my service tech. Just hoping to take care of it today..

    original post is from 2011, butt still,
    didn't know about the three button combination releasing the over travel allarm.
