    Potentiometer on Huanyang control panel?

There seem to be some Huanyang VFDs with a "speed dial" potentiometer on the little removable control panel, and others without.
Mine came without but had the markings of its scale on the panle decal.
I opened it up and sure enough, the panel is actually dirlled behind the adhesive decal AND it has all connections and holes for one on the PCB.
I would REALLY like someone to unscrew the back of theirs WITH dial and tell me the resistance value (or codes) on the potentiometer PLEASE:cheers:
    Thanks!

Normally VFD speed pots will operate anywhere between 5k and 10k, make sure you get a Linear not logarithmic type.

Thanks Al. I am aware from the VFD manual that the EXTERNAL pot should be 10k, but the pot I'm asking about is in effect INTERNAL.

I guess I should just get one and try it - I can always unsolder it again

    OK, I did it!
Took a little while to get a 10k linear potentiometer that fitted the holes and mounting points on the PCB inside the little control panel.
It works nicely - although a little mysteriously:
Firstly, I had to acutate it by setting the jumpers next to the external connector strips to 'Potentiometer on "kneading board" ' - that's what the manual calls the "Touch panel".
Next, I had to set Pd002 (the source for frequency control) to 1 "external" - go figure.
Then I had to experiment with Pd072 and Pd073 to set the starting and end frequencies for the potentiometer - opposite to what the manual says. Lastly, while Pd073 is actually "obeyed" to start the potentiometer, Pd072 is not. I ended up setting it to 250.00 (Hz) to get a full pot deflection of an indicated 140Hz.
But that's all OK. It works nicely!
    Thanks for the help.
