    Mach3 Write wizard bug?

    Hi all,
I found something strange happening with the text wizard of Mach3:
If you type "OTO" all capital and choose "Times New Roman" font
the spacing between the first "O" and the "T" does not exist, but the spacing between the "T" and the second "O" is fine, and therefore a part of the first "O" gets over-writen by the "T"...

    Any solution around that?

    Ta,
    RNR

    Hi Gerry,
    Thank you for the reply.
Yes, I could set it to 100, the T wont overlap the O anymore. But the spacing still shorter. It doesn't looks right.

    Is it a bug?

OK, I see what you mean, that it's not centered between the O's.

Whether it's a bug or not, would probably depend on who you ask. I don't think it takes into account which letters are adjacent to each other to vary the spacing, but just uses a generic spacing between all the letters.
Regardless, you're stuck with it the way it is. The wizards included with Mach3 were all donated by users. The Write wizard was added many years ago. It's by far the most complex wizard included with mach3, with thousands of lines of code.
