Orientate Main Spindle at specific point

Have an Okuma OSPU100L controller, not a live tooling lathe. Looking for way to stop and hold spindle in a specific point. I have tried the M19, and that does rotate spindle and hold it. From there, how can I rotate it for example, to 180 degrees from that point? Tried several simple things, didn't work. Nothing really in my manual about stopping spindle at a specific point.

    Thanks,

    Tony

If it's not an M machine I don't think you can orient the spindle. You can try M110 in MDI but if it doesn't have the option than it won't orient.

    Got it!

I got it! Experimented a little more. Yeah you were right, M110 doesn't working on a non-live tooling Okuma. But... played with C command, and it worked

    IE:

    M19 C=180

That moved the spindle 180 degrees from its zero point. Happy now hehe
