    X2 Spindle Measurements

I have unsuccessfully looked for dimensions on an X2 spindle. Does anyone have any idea where I might find them? Right now, I would mostly like to know the spindle center to mounting plate dimension.

Don't know where you can find the dimensions for the housing though. I'm also unsure what mounting plate you are talking about.

I intend to use the X2 spindle on a mill of my own design. When I say mounting plate, I'm referring to the back of the housing where you would bolt it to the z assembly.

At the moment, I'm just trying to figure out how far the center of the spindle is from the point of the housing where it would attach to the z.

If someone could give me a fairly close tape measure distance, it would help me get my drawings done.

I will dig out the drawing that I have of it. Should get you within 1mm at least.

From the mounting plate (not dovetails) between the 2 parts to the spindle: 90mm (May vary a bit, but I think you can count on it being within 1mm).

    Part #1944

I have one of LMS part number 1944 sitting next to me and the distance is about 3.5" for that one. This is measured from the back to the center of the spindle.

This is only a quick measurement.

That seems to confirm the 90mm dimension.

    Thanks again.
