    Serial number

    Hi,
Can anyone out there help me? I have a 1997 vf4 which recently lost its memory, including which machine it was. To cut a long story short it turned out to be a poor contact between the backup battery and the connector on the processor board. I have managed to get the machine up and running again, and reloaded the parameters and settings and everything is now working correctly again. The problem i have is that the machine has lost its seial number and now has a random number instead. Does anyone have a proceedure to re input the correct serial number?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Not entirely sure this will do the trick, but highlight the serial number in settings and type in the correct one then press enter. If this does not work, you will most likely need a tech to come out.

The entire machine memory will need to be wiped out which includes the software. Then everything can be reloaded and the correct serial number put in.

If you don't have the correct serial number, you may not be able to turn on all of the machine options using the option codes supplied for your machine.

    Good luck!
