    Machine Hours per part

    For comparison, please quote four machine times. Two for each part attached, CNC vs Tracer, from round stock to finished part.

    11 Tracer = x.x hrs
    11 CNC = x.x hrs
    19 Tracer = x.x hrs
    19 CNC = x.x hrs

    We presently make these with tracers on manual lathes but need to move to CNC. I am trying to work up a proposal for upper management.

    It is cast meehanite steel

    Isn't Mehanite a proprietary form of cast iron?

    I have a salesman saying 5-6 min for CNC. Right or worng?
