    depth of cut...

forgive me if i'm beating a dead horse here but i've searched far and wide to no avail. i'm using Vcarve Pro and mach 3. i'm trying to cut several pockets at various depths. for instance, one pocket is .625. the mach 3 interface indicates that the depth of cut being performed is in fact .625, but is coming out to .125. is this a simple config issue with the z axis or something more? thanks in advance for any assistance.

It sounds like you don't have Mach set up for your leadscrew. Go to "Motor Tuning and Setup" and change the "Steps per" as required.

It is this screen here: Motor Tuning and Setup screenshot LINK

4000 is for a 1/2-10 5-start acme screw, make sure yours is setup correctly.

thats too high of a setting for my machine. i just realized too, that the machine is cutting a mirrored image from what appears on both vcarve and mach 3 interfaces.
