    projection with v23

Is it possible to project an image on a round tapered surface? I tried it with curve projection but not having any luck. It is a surface that starts at about 2inch diameter and tapers down 14 degrees to about a 4 inch diameter. Again, is this possible?

    Hello!

you can project any entities on skins / solids.
It is not possible to project an image on something.
    But there´s a trick..

If you have BOBART, create your image in 3D, then use Create Emboss from Solid and select your solidmodel.

This should "project" your Image on your Model.
    But it´s an stl now...

This is the only way i see at the moment..

Here is a video which can show you what he is talking about.

Although, this one is showing using cylindrical stock, the method is the same... Create your tapered surface in CAD, then use that for an emboss from surface or solid, then add an emboss from image after that (There is also a texture one to create different results).

There will be options with the image one to scale it and move it around on the surface..

    Got it

I gave up on the Bobcad and used my Autocad to project it. I didn't think it was possible, but I found a pretty easy way. Thanks for the help
