do I need point cloud software?

I'm digitizing a cylinder head port with a Microscribe in Rhino.

I'll have a bunch of points that I need to make a "duct" out of that turns 90 degrees, for later CNC machining.

Is there a way to "drape" something over these points or create a "wall" for all these points?

try surface from point grid (surface -> pointGrid)
or drape surface (surface -> Drape)

    Instead of just points

Try making curves with your Microscribe. Use the InterpCrv command with no snaps active, and close the curves to make circles (or ovals, whatever). Once you have a bunch of these, you can turn on the snaps and connect them with other curves (you don't need the Microscribe for that), and use the NetworkSrf command to make a surface out of them.
