    NEED HELP SETTING PLANE ON ANGLE

    I AM TRYNG TO SET A PLANE ON A BLOCK THAT IS KICKED ON A ANGLE. GOT A BUNCH TO DO WITH DIFFERENT ANGLES. HAVE A MAZAK 510C. TRYING TO PROBE THE BLOCK, BUT CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. SEEN IT DONE ABOUT 8 YEARS AGO. ANY HELP?

    THE BLOCKS ARE WELD ON NOW THE BOSS WANTS TO PICK UP EVER BLOCK AND CUT WELD SMOOTH. JUST STAYING OFF THE BLOCK .001 TO .003. THEY HAVE .05 TOLARANCE ON LOCATION. SO THEY ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE.

    Are you using probe software like Inspection Plus or something else?

    also, are you on a rotary table or just trying to machine at that plane angle or just trying to straighten the plane out normal the machine axis?
    It's just a part..... cutter still goes round and round....

    WE DONT HAVE INSPECTION PLUS.
    I TALKED WITH A GUY FROM MAZAK THIS MORNING AND HE SAID WE COULD USE XYthCNR PICK UP. HE WAS GOING TO PLAY WITH IT ON THERE MACHINE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT. STILL WAITING TO HERE BACK

    Hi. Can you post a rough wire-frame sketch of a block giving some angles. This may help us to see your problem.

    got it to work. not the way i would like to do it but gets the job done.
    having to do all in mazatrol and using letter offset insteed of g54,g55,or so on.
