Unhappy FANUC OM/OT, pitch error compensation

Is it required to zero offset distance (i.e zero the machine at referance position) while compensating FANUC OM/OT using laser Interferometer. Or it doesn,t make any differance whatever offset is given for any axis.

    Hi,
In Fanuc OM/OT or any latest I series. Pitch error compensation parameter is active from reference point only. If u reference the machine then automatically the pitch error compensation gets active. Without referencing pitch error compensation will not be active.
You take programming point with Zero offset or without zero offset the compensation will take only from machine reference point only.
