    Machining outside stock perimiter

    Hello,
I am trying to machine an object with raised cylinders. The clearance between the outside edge of the cylinder and the edge of the stock is less than the width of my endmill bit. So it will not mill that area and leaves me with something not a cylinder.
    How can I fix this?
I am trying to mill it using a pocket operation, also tried setting contour technology data to 'start from: outside' but I get the same results.
Here is a screenshot of the simulated cutting paths.
    I appreciate any help

Also, since I reinstalled... my simulations start out with the part appearing as it would after the machining operations are completed... it used to start out with a filled solid object and then show it milling the material away in simulation.
    Any ideas?

Well I did manage to find a way to cut the cylinders... with a dedicated profile operation. But this means there will now be 2 operations, one will try to cut in some areas that have already been milled. Any chance of getting it to accomplish this with a single pocket operation?

Try Pocket select the outer profile first, right click on chain and select mark open edges. then select your islands. this will allow you to machine that as a open pocket. On a side note I see you are from Wisconsin if you talk to Paul Johnson from Applied Engineering he can help get you a post processor for your machine.
