    BALLSCREW vs. RACK & PINION vs. PRECISION ACME SCREWS

    HI
    I'M TRAYING TO DECIDE WICH OF THESE, CAN I USE.
    I DON'T WANT TO MUCH BACKSLASH
    I DON'T WANT TO SPEND TONS OF MONEY ALSO

    ACME screws are more accuracte then most ball screws and cheaper. I believe that the precision ground ball screws are close in accuracy. ACME screws are not as efficient as ballscrews.

    Rack & pinion is in a separate category.

    For X axis of over 4000mm is rack & pinon is prefferd or ballscrews give the merits & Demerits
