    Question cutter breaking

I,m being shown how to use powermill on a bridgeport cnc 15000rpm
even the guy thats showing me how to do it has broken a few small ball nose cutters 1m/m machining an insert of about 70m/m x 40m/m x 30m/m H13 material .We started with a 16 m/m tipped end mill 8m/m end mill then a 6m/m ballnose then a 2m/m ballnose then the 1m/m ballnose of course the 2m/m ballnose was leaving too much material for the 1m/m to cope with in the corners which resulted in the tool breakage is there a program for just doing the area,s the 2m/m leaves or any other suggestion

Why don't you try with rest milling, or you can decrease the axial depth.
I have been used some small end mills and ball nosed mills about 0.5mm according to the Catalogue (Union tool - Japan ) the axial depth for 1mm milling is 0.02-0.05 depending to material hardness e.t.c
If you want you can send me the powermill project, so I can tell you some suggestions. I can open project in (pm10 - pm2011)

    Best regards,
