Ok I have a question for those that have a minimill.if I install a 60 galon compressor to run with my minimill. and if I dont use anything else that use air. how manytimes or how often do I expect the compressor will turn ON?? the reaon is I will have it in my garage and dont want to make toomuch noise.

Baring any air leaks, not often. unless you have a ton of tool changes and blow the airhose alot or use a 4th axis.

There is no law about having a compressor in your garage that I know of, hell most people too anymore.

Couple of tips for the compressor, rubber mounts. The compressor will beat on the floor and reverberate throughout the shop. Also build a insulated enclosure around it. Or they make sound blankets that you can hang like curtains around it.
Nothing worse that hearing one of them beating its guts out all day.

If you build an enclosure around it, make sure there is a forced ventilation of some sort in it to avoid overheating the compressor.
I boxed mine in and had the compressor overheat and destroy itself in about 2 months. $500 in repairs and a 6" fanned duct later and it's been running fine for 4 years.
