Need help attaching Keyless chuck to arbor

Hello everyone, my first post. been trying to find a good forum to belong to. looking around here it seems this one should fit me the best (I hope).

My name is Ron, I live in California.

I just brought home this weekend my first ever mill.

It is a littlemachineshop mini mill

I need to attach the chuck to the arbor.

I have heard people say to heat it up to 350 degrees. and just put the arbor in the chuck.

I heard someone else say do not heat to more than 280 degrees because you dont know what grease they used in the chuck and it could be flammable.

Neither person said how long to heat the chuck for at either temp.

Another person said they don't heat the chuck, they freeze the arbor.

A few people agreed with that person, but then other said freezing causes condensation and that can cause problems.

I am thinking heating to 280 degrees would be the best option. But I don't know how long I should leave it in the oven at that temp.

Anyone have advice? a better way to do it? or more information on the heating method?

    Thanks in adavance

you can use a heat gun , oven or a deep fryer , heat til the chuck is to desired temperature which will take some guess work
i've usually been fortunate enough to deal with quality tooling that the tapers match and a light tap with a soft hammer is usually more than sufficient
