Richard Zastrow- you say your paying about $3.839 USD
    - in Australia, Toowoomba, we pay $1.39 a litre

    1 gallon=4.55 litres
    so
$1.39 x 4.55=$6.32AUD for 4.55 litres or one gallon of juice

Then convert AUD to USD = 6.32AUD= $5.52 USD per gallon we pay in Australia

Then the other way round is the yanks are paying about $0.84 per litre USD then into AUD = $0.96 USD

USA - USD $3.839 per gallon
    - USD $0.84 per litre (AUD $0.96 per litre)

    Australia- USD $5.52 per gallon

That is of course if my calculations are right.

But looks like about a $0.43 a litre better off in the USA fellas. I'm sure it varies greatly though throughtout the USA.

US gallon is smaller than Imperial gallon; I think it is 3.8 litres.

Apples, Your calculations may be correct for somebody else's gallons. The US gallon is equal to 3.78546 litres, not 4.55 litres. $3.839/3.78546=$1.014 US /litre. The difference in pump prices is really how badly we're each being ripped-off by taxes.

However, I willingly paid Germany's taxes/prices to prove I can drive at 200+ miles (not kilometers) per hour on their wunderbar autobahn. (Dual turbo-charged V-8 Audi Quatro Coupe)

hey if you can afford a car that can sit on 200mph+ and run comfortably all day......petrol prices should be of no concern.

What is it it iraq etc? $0.18litre??

3.75/gallon for my 91 octane premium in Duluth Minnesota. 3.59 Regular. I own a 2008 Civic Si 6 speed manual 200 h.p. 148mph out of a 2.0 4 cyl with no mods. Fun as hell!!--oh, and by the way-I get 35 Miles to the gallon in this black sunshine! Find me any gear head, muscle car that can do anything close to that! 3rd gear chirps from a four banger! My little car wooped ass on a 5.0 mustang and a cadillac sts both V8's. I aint no speed freek or rice rocket driver but this car kicks ass. And yes I know there's always someone faster.

mori 1, You wouldn't have wooped ass on my sts, but you would have tied it. They told me it would do 152 mph. The cop said I got 148. Maybe the tires were worn undersize. lol

22 city, 30 highway if I babied it. (didn't happen very much).
