Hi,

I am trying to set my Spindle Orientation for a tool change.

My Manual says i need to fit a test switch ( set open ) between wires red/blue & Green/red on 17CR. So can i jump the 2 wires together or do i need some kind of switch ?

When I do a M19 or a M6 my spindle spins but it doesn't find the spindle orientation for a tool change. The spindle will stop but it takes a while and stops at random locations.

Hi Gus,

The Spindle Orientation was working correctly but i messed it up somehow trying to fix my other problem ( Axis PSU fault.) I tried jumping the Red/Blue & Green/Red wires but the spindle keep turning.
I guess it might be time for the professionals.

I think you may be right. Something is wrong with the spindle drive.

Hi , I solved the problem by changing the spindle orientation encoder and the spindle orientation drive card. I changed them both because i wanted to get it fixed ASAP. I also got a new belt because i figured i might as well have all new parts. You will have to adjust the pods so it works correctly. Refer to your manual on how to do this. Good Luck !!

thanks for quick reaply...
I have put new belt on Encoder,
my servicer gay have test Encoder and tell me that is 200% good,
I have put new Reley on CR17(for spindel orientation),
new Reley on CR2 ( for Emergenci stop),

still no luck...

Sometimes I have Alarm AL19 on Spindel drive card(Spindel drive fault),but when I switch off and switch on the machine,the alarm goes off.

I do not have still the solution to this problem.
