Lightbulb Answer to what is needed to cut foam on laser

Most of the foam are safe to (and nicely) cut with laser machine provided:
    - you have a strong air assist [at least 20 PSI]
    - you have a good exhaust and filter system

I routinely cut polyfoam, PU foam, K-board etc but I customized my laser with "construction type" compressor, exhaust and fume collection..

Another limitation is the thickness you can cut. This will depend on your lens, I replaced my 2.5 inch lens by a 4 inch lens to be able to cut up to 1 inch foam without significant distorsion of the bottom side

You can have a look at our just up and running website Plixo - Services > Laser Cutting & Engraving. I will try to add some pictures/details re: foam later this week-end.
