    Fanuc 0M Series

    Dear Sir

    Good Morning to u all.

In one of our HMCs, we were getting Battery Fault and also BAT was blinking on Screen

    a) We checked and found battery voltage to be alright
    b) Still we replaced Battery (1.5V X3 nos.) with new Set
    c) Taken out Memory PCB, checked, battery Voltage on PCB found alright (as u r aware, white connector from Battery is connected to this Memory A4 PCB)
    d) Taken complete backup and erased memory with Reset and Delete---- still BAT was blinking
    e) Memory PCB A16B-2201-010 replaced with similar PCB but we retained all EPROMs of Memory PCB of this Machine
    f) After Power ON, we did not get Battery Alarm and BAT was not blinking but we started getting error 998 ROM Parity OB1 that means EPROM located at OB1 slot was defective so OB1 (9046 001I replaced with 9040 001I as were not having 9046 001I)
    g) Now we are not getting error 998 but we are getting errors 446 : 4 axis Disconnect and Error 447 4 axis Digital Parameter

This machine has 4th axis, which we are not using since last 2 years due to mechanical problems and around same time done necessary bypass in parameters to run the basic machine with 3 axes till recently and EPROM at OB1 9040 001I taken from another Fanuc 0M machine which has no 4th axis

Please advice on how to bypass Error 446 and 447 ??????????

    Best Regards,

    M. Rishikesh

    Thanks for ur reply

    Presently 907 11011100

    913 10010010 and 914 11000000

    Then changed 907 to 11010100 and 914 to 0000000

Now we are not getting any error after control ON and also B is not appearing on screen under Machine Position screen

But if we move X,Y,Z or W (Magazine axis), we are getting SPC alarm for pulse coder disconnect for x,y,z and W error 339, 329, 359 etc

Kindly advice why it is so ????????

    Best Regards,

    M. Rishikesh

    Hi Mr. Greenery

Can u please give me ur email id?

After I changed bit 907.3 and 914.7 to 0, no error related to B as B got completely bypassed but whichever axes (x,y,z w) is moved we get SPC error 3n9 for that particular axis

As u know all SPC of all axes can not go bad at a time and there must be some common problem?

We tried by replacing Axis control PCB where all the connectors from SPC of all axes get conected? with another ok machine, still same problem

    Reloaded all machine parameters.

what else could be the reason sir for error 3n9 for all axes ???

    Kindly advice

    Best Regards,

    M. Rishikesh

    Hi M. Rishikesh

Are your motor alpha series. If your motors were alpha series. The servo software 9040 do not support alpha series

    Hi Mr. Greenrey

Thanks once again for such prompt response. As we have alpha drives and motors, 9040 might be causing error 3n9 for all axes, we will try to burn a blnk EPROM with another OK machine to see further.

Please confirm if EPROMs in the order of FE1J, FC1J, FA1J, F81J, 201J are for memory in higher order ???????? and OE1 and OE2 are for PMC

    Best Regards,
