Would a lump of 4x2 work? Or are you after something a little more specific?
i.e. what software are you using? That part is kinda important you know!

haha just realised that you posted this in the mastercam forum so I am guessing you are using some version of Mastercam then?

We'll use the 4X2 on both of you. (chair)

but, Brian is right, you haven't given what Mastecam version you are using.

Have you asked your reseller for his recommendations of what is available "off the shelf" ? there is a 4 axis Okuma lathe post available.

He should be setting your machines up as part of the "sale" or maintenance
-plus any minor customising to your normal shop practices,
-plus a little guidance training in it's use.

I'm using X5 and tweaked some things but I'm not sure how to get it to call up the tools and tool offsets the way I need.

    Here is a sample.

NT10 (Before tool change line number used for restarts)
MT=01001 (Calls up tool. MT=(### tool number)(## station number – which will always be 01 for us because we only have 1 turret)
    M321 (tool change)
NAT10 (After tool change line number used for restarts)
    G141
    G50 S2500
    G97 S500 M3 M42 M08

TL=01010010 M602 BT=0 (Tool Offset call, TL=(## tool index position 1-12)(### tool number)(### offset number)(M602 is tool index clamp position +0degrees)(M603 is tool index clamp position +180degrees)(BT=0 is head position at 0degrees, BT=1 equals 90degrees, BT=2 equals 180degrees)
    G96 S350
    .........Program.......
