Is there any way to avoid % sign ?

    Hi,

On my VMC, I normally use a DPRNT Command.

But the problem is that " % " sign occurs at the start & end of program.
As you can see in the attached figure, I commanded DPRNT to get the actual time and date from the machine, but I got unnecessary character (% sign) at the start & end of file.

Is there any way to avoid such % sign ? ?

    Thanks
    Ashish

I don't know about the starting % sign, but my understanding is the one at the end is to insure that the last G code command is processed. Without a carriage return at the end of the line, the line is not processed. It's really easy to be staring at the G code wondering why the last line isn't being processed all because of a missing CR that you can't see.

    Hi Friends,

Couldn't find any way to disable the output of " % " sign during DPRNT output.

    Thanks for your valueable responses.

    Hi Ashish,
From the machine control perspective, no. However, some communication software allow characters to be filtered out as they are received. Check you software to see if this feature is available.
