    Solidcam / solidworks on a Cincinnati sabre 1000

    Hi

    Im thinking of buying Solicam express and solidworks for my Cincinnati sabre 1000 its fitted witha Fanuc O-M controll will this control work with this software any help would be appreciated

    It should be fine with the Fanuc control.

    Thanks for the reply

    Before buying this software what all should I do regarding cables and will I still need a DNC program Ive been told that DNC for you is a good buy

    As you might see I dont know much about what I need and I really dont need to ripped off or buy unnecessary programe's

    For DNC we use NCNet from CADEM. Nice little program that works well with Fanuc 0M (I use it to communicate with our Sabre 750). For the cabling you will need to make up a cable according to the pin-outs and CADEM have all the info for that. More importantly is the question of a RS232 serial port on your PC - not a lot of PC's have them these days and you may need to buy a serial card.
