    Need help

    i have german machines with seimens controls and it displays german languge i was wondering if anyone knows how to change it to english

    Well, with so little to go on I can't really give any specifics... the control model makes a difference for sure. My machine with the 840C control has the directions in the manual, but you don't say what you've got...

    Ok so I called siemens tech support and I got the 840d switched to English as far as the main menu but If i want to pull up the parameters or start to pull up a program all the side bar and lower bar options are still in german

    Well, I guess you will have to learn to "spreken ze deutsch."

    Go to the "start up" page (you may need to put in a password,i.e. EVENING)

    After the password input, you should see a softkey called "Sprache" or "language". The default is two languages, German and English. If the softkey is in German "sprache" then its setting is German. Press the key to change to English.

    Also, then try an NCK reset (NC off/on) there should be a softkey for this on the same screen. (Warm start)

    It will change the text to English for most things but not all.
