Question memory issues on fanuc 11m

We have a hitachi seiki "HC400" and it has a strange memory issue. This machine has 512k "1280 meters" according to the base 0 board and the program screen. When we try to send a program to the machine over 1162 meters of tape, the control hangs. We sent out the base 0 board for repair and were told that there was nothing wrong. We swapped the ram board from another machine to test that as well with the same results. I have checked the programs and there is no stop codes except the begining and at the end. The machie has a "micon 16" slave controller on board as well. We have had maintenance come out to our shop and they can not find anything wrong as well.

the software that is on your machine will take up space ..like ...burning technoligies on an EDM... these can be removed to free the space up... if you need a drip feeder greco has one that works on Fanuc .. Jim

    Drip-feeding a Fanuc 11M

Drip-feeding a Fanuc 11M is easy. All you need is PC software that can send files to the CNC using Xon/Xoff handshaking. The software must be able to handshake very efficiently, because the 11M will issue a "Buffer overflow" if the software handshakes too slowly.

You can download and try our PC-DNC Editor for 30 days at no cost. The link is:
