I haven't used Bobcad......but when I make complex concave surfaces, I find it easiest to make the convex (male) part and lower it into the blank and use a boolean to remove the overlap.
No, just the bottom, it would be a wooden chair, they are usually dished out for your legs and butt. The way a dining room chair would be.
Thank all

Yes, just like that, what feature do you use to make the dish affect?
Thank you

Claude, I made that file with V23 build 1812.. Perhaps you are running 1493??I cant seem to be able to open your file with bobcad , BurrMan...
(uexpected file format message)
I made that by drawing the outer profile, then offsetting it inward. Broke each down the middle. Then I put a UCS at the inner profiles front line and deformed it downward. Then I ran a few skin operations..
I dont think it's the cleanest surface... I was going to mention I thought it could be made better, with some care... Another way could be to make cross sections of just half of it...
Here's a quick video of a different way to get a surface like that:

Here's the other way i created yesterdays:

In this vid you see me do only half the seat.. But you could get it in one shot with 4 edges also.. You would most likely place another break at the side splines lower corner to keep from creating a lip in the skin.. So useing the place point and break a bit up from the curve:
Hi Claude,
Do you mean the video's???Is there a library of those somewhere?
When you go to that video, it will be listed under a name "mrbobhuh". If you clcik on that name, you will be at that channel of youtube and can locate view any of the demos I did for a forum question..
They arent training or anything.. Just a place to keep any video I did to demonstrate something particular... So some may be kindof cryptic in whats happening, but you can see different uses of things with someone elses method, that can add to your own toolset.
