I have a 1980 Matsuura 710v w 3000G control. Im trying to punch out parameters from the machine to my pc w/o any luck. I have other machines with a 2000G controls and can send recieve w/o a problem through the rs232.
Reading some service records i got with the machine, a service guy had to reload all parameters after a battery failure, Im thinking he didnt turn something on in the parameters to enable this feature. Any body have one of these old matsuuras? Im pulling my hair out and its probaly something simple.

We have the same machine just bought from an auction. We cannot download a program to or from. It looks like Yaskawa installed an RS232 interface cause we see paperwork with the machine documentiaon. Can you download a program to yours? if so, What the step by step procedure
Do you need to have the cable plugged in prior to executing Tape in ?

This could be a DB25 punch port only on the controller. Do you have a tape reader on the machine? You can try using a tape reader emulator to allow you to load programs into the machine if it has a sanyo tape reader.
