    E/G Sheet Metal Press?

Is this even a possibility? If the press were very slow moving, could two halves be fabricated in order to stamp micro volumes of shapes into sheet metal? Could this material ever be cast strong enough to form aluminum sheets?

The type of process defeats the purpose of E/G this being vibration damping.

    best regards,

E/G has multiple advantages and uses. Though, the epoxy forms might be crushed under the aluminum's resistant toughness.

If I understand you, you are asking about stamping cup shapes in aluminium sheet?

You need male and female die pieces made of very hard polished slippery material and lots of lubricant, as most of the action is the metal sheet sliding over the die shapes under very high forces.

If you are talking about making the die halves out of EG I think it is quite unsuitable, unless you have very thin sheet and gentle shapes (and low quantities before the dies are worn out).
