Exclamation What insert can I use to make a small radius (0.004"-0.007") on a part

I need to make a small continuous radius (0.004"-0.007") on the diamater of the part. I attached a drawing (hope it does come out).

This radius has to be made between 2 diameter changes on the part as you can see in the attachment (the arrow indicates the 0.004" to 0.007" radius).

We tried using a grooving tool that would cut half the radius with one tip of the insert and the second half of the radius with the other tip of the insert, but that gives a very small variation every time you change the insert because it had to be perfect every time and the program needs to be perfectly matched to the tool width.

I am thinking about using a round tip radius (like the ones used to make spheres and round grooves that can cut around).

Any help on what type of insert or process or way to program it will be greatly appreciated.

    Raul
